Meet Jamie

Jamie is a Utah racing driver who is looking to compete in a full season of the Global Time Attack Series, Super Lap Battle, and a portion of GRIDLIFE in 2021. She competed in select races in 2019, and now she's looking to step firmly onto the podium and prepare herself for breaking records.

Jamie was invited to compete in Super Lap Battle, and finished in top five at the Circuits of the Americas this winter, and this has raised roughly 1/2th of her budget for her 2021 campaign.

We are already talking to, and engaging with sponsors and partners who can help Jamie with roughly another 4th of her budget. 

With your help, we plan to raise the final 4th here, through this campaign. We want to keep Jamie on track all season long, so she can compete for more podium finishes.

The Details

Global Time Attack has joined forces with SCCA Time Trial and GRIDLIFE to create the North American Time Attack Council. The NATA Council is dedicated to the development, evolution, and success of non-wheel to wheel timed competitive Motorsport events. The NATA Council hopes to represent the interests of a large spectrum of drivers from beginner, to enthusiast, to professional competitor.

In 2020 there will be 6 race weekends, 1 Champion weekend, with 2 race days per weekend from coast to coast. Tracks including Road Atlanta to Buttonwillow Raceway. We want Jamie to be able to compete in ALL the race weekends empowering women and getting more visibility for women in Motorsports. Raising money is imperative to her survival in Motorsports.

Why Jamie?

Over the past several years Jamie has been working hard to hone her craft by joining NASA’s HPDE program, worked her way up the ladder to get her Time Trial license in 2016, and then got her NASA instructor license. She then got her competition license in 2018 from Bondurant Racing School.  She has proven to be a fierce competitor by earning the following podium wins.

• 3rd place in Global Time Attack RD4 Enthusiasts AWD PRO-AM (2017)

• 1st place in Global Time Attack RD 5 Enthusiasts AWD PRO-AM (2017)

• 2nd place in Global Time Attack RD 2 Enthusiasts AWD PRO (2017)

• 2nd place in Global Time Attack Road Atlanta Enthusiasts AWD (2018)

• 2nd place in Global Time Attack NJMP Enthusiasts AWD (2018)

Jamie knows what it’s like to struggle with mental health she is very passionate in helping others who are struggling. Motorsports was her way of healing, she has been working closely with an organization called Latino Behavioral Health Services (LBHS). LBHS is helping out SLC’s community that needs assistance with mental health issues. What impressed her the most about LBHS was that 3 of their participants in their program went to college, got their degree, and became counselors at LBHS. Check them out here.

How You Can Help

We have created a fundraising dinner and silent auction on March 7th in Salt Lake City, Utah. Tickets can be purchased online below. In addition a percentage of the proceeds will be going to LHBS to help the community.

We think she can go all the way. But unless we help, her story is going to end before it even starts. All race fans know that so many drivers drop off the ladder due to lack of funding, and so many race fans want to see this situation change. This is your opportunity to #GetInvolved and help be the change you want to see for a talented racer.
